Texas Watershed Steward Workshops to be held in January 31st in Tyler and February 12th in Beaumont

This notice is to inform you about two upcoming workshops discussing water quality in the Neches River Basin. Both are free, open to the public, and offer CEUs for those that need them. Details for both meetings are below.

Tyler Texas, January 31st, 8am-12pm at the Smith County Extension Office

On January 31st, the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and the Angelina & Neches River Authority will host a free Texas Watershed Steward workshop. in Tyler.  Water quality related to the Angelina River watershed, along with land and watershed management, will be discussed.  Topics will include water quality, water quality law, agricultural and urban best management practices, hydrology, and others. Light refreshments will also be provided.  The event and its available continuing education credits are free and open to the public.  The professional continuing education credits offered are applicable to, but are not limited to, certified crop advisors, Texas Department of Agriculture pesticide license holders (1 general CEU), professional engineers, certified planers, landscape architects, professional  geoscientists, certified teachers, certified floodplain managers, and select TCEQ occupational license holders.  Attached to this email is a PDF flyer for the event.

Beaumont Texas, February 12th, 1pm-5pm at the Jefferson County Extension Office

 On February 12th, the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service will host a free Texas Watershed Steward workshop in Beaumont. Water quality related to the Hillebrandt Bayou and Neches River tidal watersheds, along with land and watershed management, will be discussed. Topics will include water quality, water quality law, agricultural and urban best management practices, hydrology, and others. Light refreshments will also be provided. The event and its available continuing education credits are free and open to the public. The professional continuing education credits offered are applicable to, but are not limited to, certified crop advisors, Texas Department of Agriculture pesticide license holders (1 general CEU), professional engineers, certified planers, landscape architects, professional  geoscientists, certified teachers, certified floodplain managers, and select TCEQ occupational license holders.
