Drought Information

On August 9th 2011, National Weather Service meteorologist Victor Murphy said that this year’s drought has now surpassed one that ended in 1918 as the second-driest period in the state. The current drought is now second only to the “Drought of Record” that occurred in the 1950s. There are several institutions and state agencies that are providing continuously updated information about the ongoing drought. We’ve included links to several below.
