About Central Heights Utilities

The Authority owns and operates Central Heights Utilities, a retail water utility located north of the City of Nacogdoches. Ownership of CHU was transferred from the City of Nacogdoches to the Authority in the fall of 2023.  

Our mission is to provide reliable, quality water service and we are looking forward to getting to know all of our new customers.  We whole-heartedly welcome you to ANRA’s family of utilities.

Updated 2024 Consumer Confidence Report Available

An update to the Central Heights Utilities 2024 Consumer Confidence report is now available. This update adds language to page 5 of the report to encourage sharing the report with all consumers of water from the system. The updated language is as follows: “Please share this information with all other people who drink this water, especially those who may not have received this notice directly (i.e., people in apartments, nursing homes, schools, and businesses).  You can do this by posting this notice in a public place or distributing copies by hand or mail.“ 2024 Consumer Confidence report with the updated...

Water Conservation Request for Central Heights

Update 9pm: Repairs to the power systems at the Nacogdoches Water Treatment plant have been completed and normal operation of the water system is underway. In order to refill the system’s reserve tanks, the City is asking everyone to continue conserving water overnight. Unless something unexpected occurs, this will be the final update for this issue.
