Position Title: Director, Construction & Compliance
Position Classification: Full Time, Exempt
Employment Conditions:
Salary Range: $52,953 to $57,318 per year (depending on experience and qualifications)

General Duties:
ANRA is seeking a motivated individual to join our team in the role of Director of Construction and Compliance. This is a senior-level position that reports to the General Manager. The general duties include ensuring all of the Authority’s water and wastewater utilities comply with state and federal regulatory requirements. This includes managing multiple construction projects, monitoring regulatory permitting and overseeing safety programs.

Primary Duties:
- Plan and develop upgrades to existing facilities in order to ensure adequate capacity and treatment capabilities for current and future needs of Authority utilities
- Prepare recommendations for capital improvement projects and parameters by monitoring ongoing operational conditions and activities
- Coordinate the preparation of engineering documents by guiding the development of construction specifications, plans, and schedules
- Ensure compliance with construction standards and guidelines by implementing an appropriate and effective inspection program
- Monitor compliance with the Authority’s safety program and develop recommendations for program improvements
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, or “A” level TCEQ Certification in water or wastewater
- 5 years experience in water, wastewater or utility related industry sectors
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint required
- Working knowledge of ArcGIS and/or AutoCAD 2013 preferred
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing, including technical writing and comprehension
