Water Leak Update
September 5, 2025
9:45 a.m.
GREAT NEWS Woodlawn Customers! We have found the leak and we plan to have water service restored by early afternoon.
Here is where the leak is located: 5215 State Highway 103 W

Some customers may experience low or no water pressure over the next few hours, as we must turn off some valves to isolate and repair the leak. Please BOIL YOUR WATER. An official notice will be posted once we restore service.
The cause of the leak is still unknown, but we will post pictures of the leak soon. Thank you all for your continued patience. Our administrative staff has been very busy taking calls all morning and we appreciate all of you for being kind and courteous!
Water Leak Update
Friday, September 5, 2025
8:00 a.m.
Good morning Woodlawn Water Customers!
We have ALL hands on deck this morning to locate and repair the water leak, including all of ANRA’s field operations staff, plus contract crews.
The water tanks did refill overnight, which is good, so most of you should have at least some water pressure.
However, as we go through the process of elimination to locate the leak(s), there may be times where you may experience no water, since we will be turning on and off different valves throughout the system to find the leak.
Also, out of precaution, we WILL be issuing an official BOIL WATER ADVISORY for the system. That advisory will be issued via TCEQ shortly, but until then, go ahead and BOIL WATER BEFORE USE.
If you are aware of any leaks in the system, PLEASE contact our office at 936-632-7795.
An update to the Central Heights Utilities 2024 Consumer Confidence report is now available. This update adds language to page 5 of the report to encourage sharing the report with all consumers of water from the system. The updated language is as follows: “Please share this information with all other people who drink this water, especially those who may not have received this notice directly (i.e., people in apartments, nursing homes, schools, and businesses). You can do this by posting this notice in a public place or distributing copies by hand or mail.“
2024 Consumer Confidence report with the updated language follows:
On July 19, 2025, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) required the Prairie Grove Utilities public water system (PWS ID Number TX0030027) to issue a Boil Water Notice to inform customers, individuals, or employees that due to conditions which occurred recently in the public water system, the water from this public water system was required to be boiled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes.
Prairie Grove Utilities has taken the necessary corrective actions to restore the quality of the water distributed by Prairie Grove Utilities used for drinking water or human consumption purposes and has provided TCEQ with laboratory test results that indicate that the water no longer requires boiling prior to use as of July 22, 2025.
If you have questions concerning this matter, you may contact Mr. Jeremiah Poling, Deputy General Manager, Angelina & Neches River Authority at (936) 632-7795 or (800) 282-5634.
If you wish to contact TCEQ, you may call (512) 239-4691.
Update 9pm:
Repairs to the power systems at the Nacogdoches Water Treatment plant have been completed and normal operation of the water system is underway. In order to refill the system’s reserve tanks, the City is asking everyone to continue conserving water overnight.
Unless something unexpected occurs, this will be the final update for this issue.
Thank you for your cooperation and water conservation efforts during this unexpected occurrence!
